2017 Minnesota Business Ethics Awards Honors Three Companies
MINNEAPOLIS – Business leaders gathered at the Nicollet Island Pavilion on Business Ethics Awareness Day in Minnesota to honor three companies with the 18th annual Minnesota Business Ethics Award (MBEA). The recipients of the award included:
- Small Company Category (under 100 employees): Brenny Transportation, Inc.
- Mid-Sized Company Category (100 to 500 employees): Reell Precision Manufacturing
- Large Company Category (more than 500 employees): U.S. Bank
Each MBEA recipient received a crystal award along with a congratulatory letter from Gov. Mark Dayton. Dayton declared Wednesday, May 10, 2017, Business Ethics Awareness Day in the state of Minnesota.
“The 2017 MBEA recipients have demonstrated their tireless commitment to achieving and maintaining high ethical standards within their companies,” says Brian Volkmann, MBEA co-chair. “They strive to do what is best for all stakeholders while practicing sound business ethics.”
The finalists for the MBEA were lauded for their commitment to ethics in business. They included: APPRO Development, Inc. & CERRON Commercial Properties, LLC, Lakeville, Minn.; Star Choice Credit Union, Bloomington, Minn.; Marsh & McLennan Agency (Minnesota Operations), Minneapolis; RADIAS Health, St. Paul, Minn.; Liberty Diversified International, Minneapolis; and Medtronic, Inc., Minneapolis. All were
recognized as outstanding ethical Minnesota businesses.
The award luncheon featured speakers were Neel Kashkari, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and John G. Taft, former chief executive officer of RBC Wealth Management – U.S.
