Brenny is very active in the Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA). Joyce Brenny has been on the Board of Directors since 2005. She took over as chair August 2011.

In the picture below, Joyce is pictured with one of the original founders of the Minnesota Trucking Association – Willis E. Elsholtz. Mr. Elsholtz was part of the original founders of the MTA, which was founded in 1932. As you look at this picture, you are looking at the past and future of the Minnesota Trucking Association. Joyce is only one of three women on the MTA Board of Directors.
In 2012, Joyce received the MTA President’s Award. This award is presented to an MTA member whose involvement and commitment has significantly contributed to not only the association, but the broader trucking industry.
Brenny has had five drivers named MTA Driver of the month! For more than 50 years, the MTA has been honoring the industry’s safest commercial drivers through its Driver of the Year program. The Minnesota Trucking Association’s Driver of the Year program seeks to recognize truck driving professionals who make the trucking industry a success through their dedication to safety. Every driver recognized as a Driver of the Month is up for the Driver of the Year award.

In 2017, Bonnie Supan received the MTA Outstanding Service Award! The Outstanding Service award was created to recognize an individual who has significantly contributed to the programs and mission of the Minnesota Trucking Association.

In 2017, Scott Simon received the the MTA Technician of the Year award! This award honors the hard work and dedication of maintenance technicians in the trucking industry. Companies nominate their top maintenance technicians throughout the year and each month someone is selected. The winner is selected based on their attendance record, work attitude, come-back-rate, loss time and CSA Vehicle Maintenance Score.
